Northampton web design creating usable and accessible web sites built to web standards

About Blue Dreamer

The name “Blue Dreamer” was inspired by a song title penned by legendary rock band Hawkwind. It seemed to fit my personality quite well as my favourite colour is blue, I’m always dreaming of new and better ways of doing things, and also analysing how things work so I can better understand them.

I’ve been designing and building web sites since 1999, soon after the internet started becoming popular in the UK. In the early days it was all about learning HTML and experimenting with all the new technologies that were emerging at the time. It didn’t take long before friends an colleagues were asking me to create sites for them!

Skip forward to 2001/2002 and I finally made a descision and took voluntary redundancy from my day job as Systems Administrator for a well known UK organisation, a job I’d been doing for some 12 years.  In all honesty it was time for a change as I needed some new challenges, and so I started Blue Dreamer as a web design business.

I’ve had the pleasure to work with a wide variety of web sites covering a diverse range of subjects, but more importantly working with a lot of nice customers. Most work I undertake comes via word of mouth and customer recommendations so I must be doing something right!

Currently I concentrate on developing web sites with a strong focus on Usability and Accessibility, and my personal business ethic is to provide a friendly, personal and professional service to every customer and go the extra mile with every project I undertake.

You can contact me here if you have a web project I can help you with!
