The Rollright Stones Trust is 10 years old

In 1998 the previous land owner, where the Rollright Stones is located, died. Because the momument stood on private ground there were a lot of concern over it’s future and what any new owner might try to do. To cut a long story short the Rollright Trust was formed, and together with small and large donations, it became the new owner of the site. Since then the Trust has been responsible for the upkeep of the whole area.

And so the 10th anniversary came in July 2008 and I was invited to the celebration buffet and talk (I can never resist a good buffet!). Of course while I was in the vacinity I took a few snaps…

Stone with shapes in it
This stone always fascinates me. Can you see any shapes in it? I can usually see a leopard lying on a rock!

Stone with hole in it
This stone’s hole is always worth looking through!

The Trust also have a new web sites that’s due for launch soon, and built by me of course!
