1. Design deadlines
1.1) Any deadlines will be agreed before work commences.
1.2) Where a deadline exists for updates to a site, or the creation of a new site, we will endeavour to complete work in due time.
1.3) If any problems or issues arise during work on a site that affect the agreed deadline, we shall inform the customer at the earliest possible opportunity, and agree a way forward.
2. Design payment
2.1. Payment for new sites
2.1.1) Our standard policy is to receive a 33% or 50% non refundable deposit on new sites before work starts, this is to cover our time and other costs.
2.1.2) Payment of the balance is due no later than 30 days following completion of work or date of invoice, whichever is later, unless separate arrangements have been made.
2.1.3) Payment of balances can made in installments by prior arrangement.
2.2. Payment for work on existing sites
2.2.1) We reserve the right to ask for a non-refundable deposit before work starts to cover our time and costs.
2.2.2) Payment for work is due no later than 30 days following completion of work or date of invoice, whichever is later.
2.2.3) Where the work is spread out over a long period of time (ie months rather than weeks), or where the job incurs significant initial cost, we may ask for a non refundable deposit to cover our costs.
2.2.4) Payment of balances can made in installments by prior arrangement.
3. Design quotes
3.1) We will provide quotes for the agreed work by email.
3.2) Quotes are valid up to 60 days from the specified date.
3.3) Any additional work that is requested by the customer after agreeing to the quote will be charged in addition to the original agreed quotation.
4.1 Sites hosted on our own web hosting servers
4.1.1) We guarantee over 99% availability over each rolling period of 12 months.
4.1.2) All installed applications will function correctly when the site is handed over after completion.
4.1.3) If any problem arises with our web servers they will be dealt with promptly to keep downtime to a minimum.
4.1.4) If any problem arises with installed applications on sites they will be dealt with promptly, at no charge, to keep downtime to a minimum, provided the owner or other 3rd party has not modified the code.
4.1.5) We will not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from any server downtime, software updates, or failure of installed applications to function correctly.
4.2 Sites hosted on 3rd party servers
4.2.1) We cannot be held responsible for reliability of customers sites that are hosted on 3rd party servers.
4.2.2) We cannot guarantee that installed applications on 3rd party servers will continue to function correctly.
4.2.3) We will not be held liable for any loss arising from any 3rd party server downtime or failure of installed applications to function correctly.
5. Completion of work
5.1) Work is deemed to be complete when a web site, or web pages, that we have worked on, become accessible to the public. This is usually when a new site goes live, additional pages have been added, or existing pages updated.
6. Ownership of site
6.1) Upon completion, the ownership of the site is handed over to the customer who is then responsible for maintenance and updates.
6.2) It is the responsibility of the site owner to update installed applications.
6.3) If important security related updates become available for installed applications we will install these free of charge at the request of the site owner, providing the site owner or other 3rd party has not modified the application in question in any way that the update may change. If the application has been modified we reserve the right to make an extra charge if additional work is needed. Consent will be sought from the site owner before any modifications are undertaken.
6.4) Some application developers provide frequent updates which add extra features and functionality. These updates are normally chargeable and site owners should contact us for pricing.
